Child Nutrition Employee
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follows all federal and state regulations for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs
- Follows all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation requirements
- Correctly operates and cleans kitchen equipment such as: ovens, steamers, mixers, serving lines, dish machines
- Prepares a variety of foods for meals and ala carte service
- Prepares items for special promotions, holidays, and other celebrations
- Serves meals, meal components, and ala carte items to students following designated portion sizes
- Operates the cash register and counts money daily
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and up to 50 pounds
- Reports to work when scheduled, on time, and in full uniform as per the employee handbook uniform specifications
- Participates in yearly training and continuing education as requested by Child Nutrition management
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department
- Performs designated tasks in a timely manner
